New Business: Trail Schedule and Elections. President: Demetria Janus nominated by Theresa Grant and Sandy Duquet 2nd it...all voted and passed....congratulations Dee! Vice President: Cheri Stump nominated by Demetria Janus and Theresa Grant 2nd it...all voted and passed....Congratulations Cheri! Secretary: Theresa Grant nominated by Demetria Janus, and Gordon Stump 2nd it...all voted and passed......Congratulations Theresa!! Treasure: Jeannine Chont nominated by Theresa Grant and Sandy Duquet 2nd it....all voted and passed.......Congratulations Jeannine!! Board members....Pat Jackson, Cathy Branun and Allen Branum.....all voted and passed....Congratulations! Nominations accepted and closed! Thank you all!
Demetria passed out maps, showing a 5 and 10 mile radius...for all to see and to get the group to work on recruiting new members.....Talked about handing out flyers and hanging flyers in nearby business's!!!
Started trail schedule of 2008.....will continue in Feb.
Demetria would like to have a board meeting with all board members and any other members that would like to join....date was not decided yet.

Announcements: Sandy D....sold her house....and is planning on riding this year!!! Alana P.....is getting married June 21,2008.....CONGRATS!!! Demetria J......started a new job...all is going well...CONGRATS!!!! Lorrie G....got a new car! congrats! Theresa G...Moved her horse to a friends (thanks cathy and allen for your help)

February 2008 Meeting held at Iron Mikes 11 members present Meeting called to order at 7:10p No President Report Sec Report...all were asked if they received the minutes via email or read them on the site...if anyone had any suggestions or corrections....motion to accept and all approved Treasure's report- Will be updated and given next Month Old Business *Everyone received the quarterly news letter and enjoyed it...thank you Demetria...good job! **Parade Commitee- do we have anyone interested? do we need a commitee? Thoughts were passed back and forth and it was decided that there is no real interest in doing the parades at this time, so no committee formed....but if anyone does decide, we are always open to it... ***Michigan Horse Counsel, letter passed around....the future of many trails is up in the air...talk of many trails being closed this year.... ****Trail Schedule passed out to everyone..motion to accept made by Cheri Stump, 2nd by Cathy Branum....Trail Schedule passed :) good job all....it's going to be a fun riding year. New Business *Talked about the board meeting that met in Feb...it was really good, lots of things brought up and worked on... *Flyers were given to all to put up at business's for new members *Trail Schedule- always open for ideas and changes... *President will continue the quarterly news letter :) *Current Events-talked about Horse Expo in Lansing *Talked about getting new members by putting a free ad in the Huron News.... Announcements Barn Rules, joke read ;) very cool Alan got hurt at work....FEEL BETTER SOON ALAN!!! Website is being updated...it's a work in progress :) Good job Dee Everyone is tired of the cold...COME ON SPRING! March 20, 2008 Meeting held at Iron Mikes - 13 members present Meeting called to order at 7pm ******WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!!!! Valerie and Danielle...introductions************ President Report * Group was asked about sponsoring a 4h club at Mi State....cost is $40.00 It was discussed and suggested to sponsor a trail class.... motion to accept by Theresa Grant 2nd by Cathy Branum....all accepted......passed!!! Sec Report... *all were asked if they received the minutes via email or read them on the site...if anyone had any suggestions or corrections....motion to accept by Cathy Branum 2nd by Theresa Grant....all accepted....passed! Treasure's Report- *Jeannine gave a updated report of all spending, and money received. Account total as of date is 389.15...Motion to accept by Cheri Stump, 2nd by Cathy Branum....all accepted...passed.....good job Jeannine! Old Business.. *talked about trail schedule...it's going to be a good riding year :) New Business... **Allan Branum stood up and let everyone know the board at Cross Winds has been updated with pictures, trail schedule and other nice articles....Everyone clapped and thanked Cathy for doing such a good job, even the freezing cold weather didn't stop her!! THANK YOU CATHY!! GOOD JOB! ***Talked about the Obstacle Course, Sept. 14,2008 at Double D ranch....Its going to be a 2 day event with first day being beginners and 2nd day advanced....there will be food available and camping....and members will be asked to bring a dish....more info to come next month....Good job setting this up Demetria!!
